Job DescriptionHuman Resources and Training Manager Plan International is growing! We are looking for a Lao national who is enthusiastic, dedicated and interested in a long term career with a major international children’s NGO. Plan, one of the world’s poorest and one poor District in Bokeo Province, in basic education, early childhood development, health and nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene, and promotion of children’s rights. Responsibilities will include (refer to Job Description for full details) • Member of the Country Management Team and reporting to the Country Director on all areas of HR management. • Leadership on training, learning and development for all staff. • Oversees HR needs of over 80 national staff as well as short term emergency staff and consultants. • Provides leadership and support to managers to manage their teams effectively. Skills, qualifications, experience (refer to Job Description for full details) • Undergraduate degree in HR or a related discipline, or the equivalent in experience. • Demonstrated experience leading and managing HR for an organization in Laos. • Demonstrated understanding of the NGO sector in Laos, and the challenges working in rural and remote areas. • Excellent written and spoken English, ethnic language skills are an advantage.
