As part of the Oxfam Program, Oxfam Australia currently works in Vientiane Province, Salavan and Sekong and is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our team. TEAM LEADER – DISASTER RISK REDUCTION (LANGOCA) Duty Station: Kaleum District, Sekong Province Main Responsibilities: – Provide implementation support to project partners to meet the project objectives – Monitoring and reporting on implementation of the district activities by partners (personal work plan, field visit and expense reports) – Regularly communicating with partners to identify project support needs, monitor project activities and report project progress – Responsible for strengthening technical capacity of the district partners in delivering the projects – Managing district project funds and taking responsibility for expenditures of district project funds and reporting expenditure – Identify and developing partnership opportunities with stakeholders within the district to collaboratively prepare required action plans enabling the project outcomes – Facilitate participation of people in the community in creating planning and implementing activities Required competencies and experience: – Relevant qualifications or skills in rural livelihoods development, especially public health, disaster risk reduction, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, project management or other relevant disciplines – Experience in the successful partnership with local Government partners in delivering projects in a development and/or humanitarian context in one or more challenging locations – Ability to plan and manage activities and budgets – Sound ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions from time to time – Ability to understand English and the local language Mon Khmer is highly regarded – Good computer skills
