Site-based employees work a roster of 20 days on, 8 days off or 14 days on, 7 days off for shift work, while Vientiane – based employees work 5 days per week with 2 days off.
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Lao nationals for the following positions:
MINING SUPERVISOR
Location: Ban Houayxai Operation
Roster: 20 days on, 8 days off
Reporti g to the Mining Production Superintendent, you will supervise the shift crew to ensure operational targets are being achieved in accordance with the safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Supervising the shift crew ensuring the highest level of safety standards
• Ensuring a continuous flow of ore to the Primary Crusher is maintained
• Ensuring the working benches, roads, and pads are kept clean to eliminate tyre damage
• Maintaining accurate and timely records of works performed during shift
• Coaching Lao staff ensuring they have adequate skill to perform their duties
• Controlling the cost of the various mobile equipment contractors
To be successful in this role, you will require:
• Degree in Mining Engineer or Civil Engineering in Road and Bridge is desirable
• 3 years’ post graduate experience in large scale Civil or Mining Earthworks
• Experience in running a fleet and leading large multi -functional heavy equipment operation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Lao
• High levels of energy, commitment
• Competency in Microsoft Office suite
