Job Summary: Training/mentoring role with one of the largest open pit mines in SE Asia.
MMG Limited is a global resources company that mines, explores and develops base metal projects globally. We are one of the world’s largest producers of zinc and a substantial producer of copper, lead, gold and silver. MMG LXML’s Sepon copper operation in the Lao PDR produces approximately 85,000 tonnes of copper annually.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for coaching and mentoring of the Lao staff in all aspects of Maintenance Planning.
This role will be responsible for fostering and developing Lao national staff so that they can succeed our expatriate technical advisors. Whilst being hands-on with strong analytical thinking and communications skills, you will be looked upon for technical and professional guidance to develop the next generation of Lao leaders within the Maintenance Planning function.
Utilising your influencing skills, you will lead and improve maintenance availability through planning whilst reducing cost. Working closely with the maintenance delivery departments you will improve collaboration onsite, and increase the data integrity of SAP, ensuring you up-skill the Lao national team to a professional standard through training, coaching and mentoring within agreed timeframes.
As a successful candidate, you will come from a similar role with strong a mining background. Essential to this role is advanced knowledge of maintenance workflows in SAP.
A tertiary qualification or Mechanical trades qualification is essential. To further your success to the role, you will have a sound track record of effective coaching and mentoring skills with an awareness of how to communicate knowledge effectively across cultures where English is a second language and a willingness to work with local culture.
