Fixed Plant Maintenance – Multiple Opportunities
Job Summary: Multiple job opportunities available for maintenance professionals with one of the largest open pit mines in SE Asia.
MMG Limited is a global resources company that mines, explores and develops base metal projects globally. We are one of the world’s largest producers of zinc and a substantial producer of copper, lead, gold and silver. MMG LXML’s Sepon copper operation in the Lao PDR produces approximately 85,000 tonnes of copper annually.
Sepon’s Fixed Plant Maintenance team is now seeking experienced maintenance professionals to join their team as Technical Advisors.
Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Delivery these roles will have responsibility for all coaching and mentoring of the Lao staff in all aspects of maintenance for equipment such as:
- Sizer and SAG mill
- CCD circuits
- Solvent extraction plant
- Electrical Instrumentation and controls
- Communications system, fibre optics and telemetry
- Overhead crane and hoist
- To be considered, you’ll hold a relevant mechanical or electrical trade qualification and have experience in mining or a comparable heavy industry. A Certificate IV Training and Assessment (Train the Trainer) will be highly regarded as will demonstrable experience in coaching/mentoring type role.
- One of you key goals will be to identify and foster the talents of Lao national staff and develop them to ultimately succeed into your role. As such, you will have a sound track record of effective coaching and mentoring skills with an awareness of how to communicate knowledge effectively across cultures where English is a second language and a willingness to work with local culture.
