Job DescriptionImproving the Resilience of the Agricultural Sector in Lao PDR to Climate Change Impacts IRAS – NAPA Follow-Up Project Job Announcement Climate change is a subject that impacts the way we live and work. It is having a significant impact on many economic sectors including agriculture. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has been active in fighting against climate change since 1990. With funding from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and technical support from UNDP, the Lao PDR completed the National Adaptation Programme of Action to Climate Change (NAPA). UNDP and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF), executed through the National Agriculture and Forestry Research Institute (NAFRI) have completed the formulation of the project “Improving the Resilience of the Agriculture Sector in Lao PDR to Climate Change Impacts” as part of the NAPA follow-up. The following long-term positions are immediately available in the project: Agro-Ecologist, Vientiane The project aims to have 50% of the positions occupied by female staff.
